  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • inc – increase
  • dec – decrease
  • hdc – half double crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • tc – triple crochet
  • ss – slip stitch
  • FLO – front loops only
  • BLO – back loops only
  • mc – magic circle
  • (…) – repeat instructions within parentheses the specified number of times
  • (#) – total number of stitches at the end of the round

Finished Size:

The completed ant will be about 4 inches long, though the final size may vary depending on yarn type, hook size, and individual tension.

    5-9. Sc around for 5 rounds; insert safety eyes between rounds 5-6, about 12 stitches apart
  5. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18); stuff head
  6. (Sc, dec) x6 (12)
  7. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)
  8. (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
    14-16. Sc around for 3 rounds (24)
  9. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18); stuff middle section
  10. (Sc, dec) x6 (12)
  11. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)

    21-24. Sc around for 4 rounds (24)

Legs & Antennae (Make 8)

Assembly Instructions
