Wings

First Wing:

1. Chain 7, in the 2nd chain from the hook make 6 single crochets.
2. Chain 1, turn.
3. Make 4 single crochets.
4. Chain 1, turn.
5. Make 4 single crochets, fasten off, cut yarn.

Mirror Wing:

1. Chain 5, in the 2nd chain from the hook make 4 single crochets.
2. Chain 1, turn.
3. Make 4 single crochets.
4. Chain 3, in the 2nd chain from the hook make 6 single crochets.

Body-Head

1. Make 9 single crochets in a magic ring OR chain 2 and make 9 single crochets in the 2nd chain from the hook.
2. Make 9 increases (18 stitches).
3. Make 5 single crochets, then (change color to yellow, make a paw – puff stitch of 4 double crochets) repeat 2 times, then make 6 single crochets, then for the tail: chain 4, slip stitch in the base stitch, chain 6, slip stitch in the next stitch, chain 4, slip stitch in the base stitch. (18 stitches total).
4. Make 18 single crochets.
5. Make 18 single crochets.
6. Make 1 single crochet, (attach) wing with 4 single crochets, make 4 single crochets, (attach) wing with 4 single crochets, make 6 single crochets (18 stitches).
7. Make 9 decreases (9 stitches).
8. Make 9 increases (18 stitches).
9. (Make 2 single crochets, increase) repeat 6 times (24 stitches).
10. Make 24 single crochets.
11. Make 24 single crochets.
12. Make 24 single crochets.
13. Make 24 single crochets.
14. Make 24 single crochets.
15. (Make 2 single crochets, decrease) repeat 6 times (18 stitches). Insert eyes between rows 13 and 14, 4 stitches apart.

Close the opening. Leave 20 cm of yarn from this opening; you will use it to make the topknot.

Embroider the beak after tightening.
Attach yarn to the right side of the face, crochet a single crochet, in the same stitch make a half double crochet, make 2 half double crochets, and in the last half double crochet, make a slip stitch.
