Keychain Strap (Use Grey Yarn)

  2. Row 1: Starting in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across.
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st across.
    • Cut yarn, leaving a long tail.
    • Fold the strap in half to form a loop.

Assembly (Putting Your Doggy Together!)

  1. Body to Head: Use the long tail from the body and your yarn needle to sew the open end of the body firmly to the bottom of the head (around Rnd 14 where you closed it). Make sure it’s centered.
  2. Muzzle: Sew the muzzle onto the front of the head, placing the top edge just below the eyes. Use the long tail from the muzzle. Add a little more stuffing before closing if needed.
  3. Ears: Sew the flattened open edge of each ear to the sides of the head, around Rnds 5-7. Position them so they flop down slightly like a Schnauzer’s.
  4. Arms: Sew the flattened open edge of the arms to the sides of the body, just below where the head joins.
  5. Legs: Sew the open edge of the legs to the bottom front of the body.
  6. Eyebrows (Use White/Cream Fuzzy Yarn):
    • Cut a piece of the fuzzy yarn.
    • Use your yarn needle to sew or embroider bushy eyebrows above the eyes. You might make a few long stitches back and forth. Secure the ends inside the head.
  7. Nose/Eyes (If Embroidering): If you didn’t use safety eyes/nose, use black yarn/thread to embroider them now. Make a small triangle or oval for the nose on the muzzle and small circles or lines for the eyes on the head.
  8. Keychain Strap: Use the tail from the strap to sew the two ends securely to the very top center of the head. Thread the keychain ring/clasp through the loop you created.
  9. Weave in Ends: Use your yarn needle to hide any remaining yarn tails inside the body parts.

Congratulations!

Have fun!
