Abbreviations

MR – Magic Ring
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
dec – decrease (work 2 stitches together)
BLO – back loops only
picot – chain 3, sl st into the first chain

Start from the handle

Round 1: MR 5 – start with a Magic Ring and work 5 sc
Round 2 (BLO): 5 sc
Rounds 3-4: 5 sc – work two even rounds

Add a guard (hand protector)

Round 5: picot, 2 sc, picot, 3 sc
