Materials You’ll Need:

We’ll be working this piece continuously, so use your stitch marker to keep track of the beginning of each round. Stuff firmly as you go.
Round 1: (W) Start with a magic ring, work 8 sc into the ring. Pull tight to close. (8 stitches)
Round 2: (W)
- (inc) x 3 times (you’ll have 6 sc)
- First Paw: Chain 3, starting from the 2nd chain from hook, work a Shell (3-dc cluster) into that 2nd chain. Slip stitch into the same 2nd chain where the Shell was made. Then slip stitch into the base stitch of the main round where you started the ch 3.
- (inc) x 2 times (you’ll have 4 sc)
- Second Paw: Chain 3, starting from the 2nd chain from hook, work a Shell (3-dc cluster) into that 2nd chain. Slip stitch into the same 2nd chain where the Shell was made. Then slip stitch into the base stitch of the main round where you started the ch 3.
- (inc) x 3 times (you’ll have 6 sc).
- On the very last stitch of this round, close it with Orange (O) yarn instead of white.
- Tail: Chain 5. Starting from the 2nd chain from hook, sl st, then 3 sc, then sl st into the base stitch of the main round where you started the ch 5.

Eye Placement: Insert the 8 mm safety eyes between Rounds 9 and 10, specifically into the 1st orange stitch immediately next to the white color section. Create a slight indentation between the eyes if desired (as shown in the photo).
Ears
Right Ear:
- Attach your yarn (use White or Orange, depending on preference for ear color, pattern implies main color) between Rounds 9 and 10, into the next stitch.
- In one loop, work: sc, dc.
- Chain 2, sl st into the second chain from hook (this forms a small point).
- Work: dc.
