Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), sk next st, dc in next st, reaching hk in front of st just made dc in sk’d st, rep from across until 1 st rem, dc in last st, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next and each st/sp across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1, dc in next st, rep from across, turn.
Row 4: Rep Row 2.
Pattern Repeat: Rep Rows 1-4 for pattern.

Blanket Pattern Instructions
Main Blanket Body
Chain: 94.
Set-up Row: Work Set-up Row of X’s and O’s pattern – 92 sts.
Rows 1-52: Work Rows 1-4 of X’s and O’s pattern, 13 times. Do not fasten off, continue to Side Edging 1.
Side Edging 1
Rotate Blanket 90 degrees to continue working along the edge.
Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), place another dc in the side of the last dc worked from Row 52, place 2 dc per row across the side of the Blanket, ending with 2 dc in the side of the Set-up Row. Fasten off.
Side Edging 2
Attach yarn to the base of the last st of Set-up Row, or the 92nd ch.
Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in the side of the same dc, place 2 dc per row across the side of the Blanket, ending with 2 dc in the side of Row 52. Fasten off.
Finishing Your Blanket
Gently wash and block to finished measurements.
