  • White Himalaya Dolphin Baby plush yarn

  • Black Iris thread for detailing

Gauge

Crochet with white plush yarn and a 4.0 mm hook.

Round 1: Start with 6 sc in a MR. (6)

Round 2: Work an inc in each stitch around. (12)

Note: Insert the 10 mm safety eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, leaving 4 visible stitches between them.

Facial Details

Using black thread, embroider the facial features. Refer to the image for placement.

  • Nose: Embroider the nose between Rounds 9 and 10, making it about 2 stitches wide. Add a vertical stripe for the nose going down from Round 10 to 12.
  • Eyelashes: Add small eyelashes to the outer corners of the eyes.
  • Eyebrows: Embroider the eyebrows above the eyes, spanning roughly over Rounds 5 and 6, about 2 stitches up from the top of the eyes.

Ears (Make 2)

Crochet with white half-cotton yarn and a 2.0 mm hook.

Round 1: Start with 6 sc in a MR. (6)

Round 2: Work an inc in each stitch around. (12)

Round 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times. (18)

Round 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times. (24)

Round 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times. (30)

Round 6: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times. (36)

Do not stuff. Fold the ear in half and crochet the opening closed with 2 sl st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Body

Crochet with white plush yarn and a 4.0 mm hook.

Round 2: Work an inc in each stitch around. (12)

Round 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times. (18)

Round 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) repeat 5 times, 1 sc. (24)

Round 9: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) repeat 5 times, 1 sc. Stuff the body firmly. (18)

Fasten off with a sl st and cut the yarn. You will use the tail from the head for sewing.

Assembly

1. Attach Head to Body: Using the long tail left on the head, sew the head securely to the body opening.

2. Attach Ears: Using the tails left on the ears, sew them to the head. Position them between Rounds 7 and 8, about 5 stitches away from the sides of the eyes and 1 stitch up.

Weave in all remaining ends. Your amigurumi sheep is now complete!
