Rnd 2: (inc) x6 (12 sts)
Rnd 3-4: sc in each st around (12 sts) (2 rounds)
Change to Light Brown Yarn
Rnd 5-10: sc in each st around (12 sts) (6 rounds)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the paws lightly for shape.
Tail (Light Brown Yarn):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sts)
Rnd 2: (inc) x6 (12 sts)
Rnd 3-5: sc in each st around (12 sts) (3 rounds)
Rnd 6: (dec) x6 (6 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff lightly.
Collar (Red Yarn):
Ch 40, sl st to first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: sc in each ch around (40 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Nose (Black Yarn):
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6 sts)
Rnd 2: (inc) x6 (12 sts)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) x6 (18 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Lightly stuff the nose to give it shape.
Assembly:
Attach Muzzle to Head: Sew the white muzzle onto the front of the brown head piece, centering it. Use the white yarn tail to sew around the edges.
Attach Nose: Sew the black nose piece onto the front of the white muzzle, slightly above the center, using the black yarn tail.
Insert Safety Eyes: Position the safety eyes on the brown head piece, above the muzzle and symmetrically. Secure them in place with their backings. If you prefer embroidered eyes, you can do that instead after assembly.
