Pocket Puppy Keychain Crochet Pattern
- Attach Ears: Sew the ears to the sides of the head, around Rnd 8-12 of the brown head piece.
- Attach Head to Body: Sew the head onto the top of the brown body piece, aligning the back of the head with the back of the body.
- Attach Chest to Body: Sew the white chest piece onto the front of the brown body piece, aligning the top of the chest with the bottom of the muzzle.
- Attach Legs: Sew the legs to the bottom of the body. Position the front legs under the chest piece and the back legs towards the back of the body.
- Attach Tail: Sew the tail to the back of the body, around Rnd 9-12 of the body piece.
- Attach Collar: Place the red collar around the dog’s neck and sew it in place or leave it loose.
- Keychain Attachment: Decide where you want to attach the keychain. A common place is at the center top of the head. Using a yarn needle and strong yarn (or doubled yarn), create a loop through the top of the head and attach the keychain ring to this loop. Alternatively, you can sew a small crocheted loop directly to the head and then attach the keychain.
Finishing Touches:
- Embroidery: You can use black yarn to embroider eyelashes or eyebrows above the safety eyes for added detail, like in the image. You can also define the mouth with a small embroidered line if desired.
- Check for Stuffing: Ensure all parts are firmly stuffed and that there are no loose ends. Weave in all yarn ends neatly into the crochet pieces.
Your cute crochet dog keychain is now complete! Enjoy your handmade creation or give it as a thoughtful gift.
